Hi, my name is James H Healy and I’m a recovered alcoholic.

After several failed attempts and completely bottoming out, I was able to leverage the healing power of nutrition and exercise as an important and essential component of my personal, successful recovery program.

I’ve been sober over two and half years and have re-built my life into something I can be proud of and happy to live.

Now I’m sharing some of my best insights with you, via the Hungry for Nutrition website, blog and 7-Day Challenge. All this is completely free and are designed to help others find success like I have.

My goal is to help anyone who desires a clean and sober recovery to find success, health and happiness.

The first step for me was to reduce my cravings and heal my damaged brain. This can be aided in great part through nutrition and wellness.

I believed that only when my body and brain were healthy could I fully focus on the spiritual and psychological issues that led to my addiction.

Basically your actions, thoughts and even feelings are all chemical reactions within your body and brain. Drugs and alcohol are chemicals which produce certain reactions.

Food, vitamins, minerals and exercise also provide chemicals which produce a different set of reactions.

There’s a saying, you may have heard it before, “You are what you eat.” And it’s true, you’re body completely regenerates its cells over time.

You can do this, the time is now. Start living the life you know you want and deserve.
